Estate Triage is being tested through Apple's TestFlight before it reaches the App Store. Testing takes about twenty minutes of your time, and you can stop whenever you like.

How to join

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store — it is Apple's free app for trying software before release.
  2. Open the invitation link below on your iPhone. TestFlight will install Estate Triage.
  3. Use it on real things in a real house. That is the whole test.

Open the TestFlight invitation

Requires an iPhone running a recent version of iOS. The link opens TestFlight, where you tap Accept and then Install.

What testing involves

  • Photograph real items. Not staged ones — whatever is actually in front of you. Ordinary objects are as useful to us as interesting ones.
  • Tell us what confused you. Where you hesitated, what you expected to happen and did not, what a screen did not explain. Confusion is the most valuable thing you can send us.
  • Tell us when a read looks wrong. If an identification or a value range seems off, we want to know — with a screenshot if you can.
  • Try the report. Export the PDF and tell us whether you would be comfortable handing it to a sibling or an attorney.

You can send feedback straight from TestFlight, or email support@estate-triage.com. A person reads all of it.

What it costs

Nothing. During the beta, purchases inside the app are simulated by Apple — you will see the Estate Pack and top-up, and you can buy them to test that flow, but no money changes hands and no card is charged.

Beta software can be unstable, and data may be reset between builds. If you are keeping a record that matters to you, export the PDF as you go.

Who we especially want to hear from

  • People mid-downsize. If you are working through your own house room by room, you will find the places where the app assumes you are in a hurry when you are not.
  • Executors and adult children. If you are clearing a parent's home, you will find out fast whether the report is defensible enough to put in front of a family.
  • Anyone who has sold an estate before. Auctioneers, estate sale organizers, resellers — you will know immediately where the value ranges are wrong.

If you are in the middle of clearing a home after a death, please do not let testing get in the way of that. Use the app if it helps, and ignore us if it does not.

What we can see

Very little, by design. There is no account and no analytics in the app. Apple gives us basic TestFlight information — whether the app crashed, and any feedback you choose to send, including screenshots you attach. Your photos are analyzed and not stored, and your inventory stays on your phone.

The privacy policy covers this in full, and it applies to beta versions the same as released ones.

Estimates are AI-generated guidance, not a certified appraisal. Anything marked APPRAISE — or anything you have a feeling about — deserves a professional opinion before it leaves the house.
